Briefings & Reports

This Centre for Research on Families and Relationships Research Briefing presents findings from the Young People and Abortion study which was carried out in 2015. The briefing focuses on key issues identified in this focus group study, including the significant gaps in young people’s knowledge on abortion, and the ways in which they framed their understandings of abortion. It suggests that knowledge gaps and a reliance on moral or gender framings may create barrier for young people in making informed decisions about pregnancy and accessing abortion services.
