Patricia Lohr trained in obstetrics and gynaecology and complex family planning in the United States before taking up the post of Medical Director of British Pregnancy Advisory Service (BPAS) in 2007. She leads on clinical policy, risk management, and professional leadership of the medical workforce, and directs BPAS’ Centre for Reproductive Research and Communication.
Patricia’s research is aimed at improving access to and quality of abortion care. Her other area of interest is education in abortion care. She is a former Board Member of Medical Students for Choice, and is currently an education adviser to the British Society of Abortion Care Providers and Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
