Our second publication from the SASS project looks at the experiences of abortion providers, namely nurses, healthcare assistants, doctors and sonographers. Here we examine the ways in which health professionals come up against stigmatising norms in the context of providing abortion, and the ways in which they already do present abortion in positive terms. We also highlight some of the factors that need to be addressed for abortion to become normalised as part of normal, routine reproductive healthcare.
